What Is a GR Number and How Do You Track Your Shipment?

Every consignment booked with Shimla Manali Goods Carrier receives a GR number — short for Goods Receipt. It is the legal document of carriage and the unique ID of your shipment.

What the GR contains

  • Consignor and consignee details
  • Origin and destination stations
  • Number of packages and declared weight
  • Freight charges and payment mode (paid / to-pay)

How to track

Go to our Tracking page, enter the GR number exactly as printed on your receipt and press Track. You will see the latest status of your goods.

Collecting your goods

The consignee should carry the GR copy (or GR number) and a valid ID to the destination branch or agency. For to-pay consignments, freight is settled at delivery.

Lost your receipt?

Call the booking branch with the consignor name, booking date and destination — our team can trace the consignment for you.
